Goals

Design systems should help you ship faster. When it becomes the opposite or even reversed in relationship, I question the merit of delivering it.

I think it's in this episode where Framer CEO observes a similar situation where people spend a ton of time trying to get to perfect consistency. Coming from a startup, I also question the value of this perfection. Perfect consistency means perfect alignment between teams, but is that really possible in a big organization? Also, is this a problem valuable enough to perfect?
